Setelah sukses melakukan withdrawal (penarikan) dolar dari rekening PayPal ke rekening Bank Niaga, akhirnya timbul juga rasa penasaran yang mendalam pada diri saya untuk melakukan withdrawal ke rekening Bank Mandiri. Kenapa saya bilang penasaran? Karena saya sudah membaca banyak komentar di beberapa blog bahwa sahabat-sahabat blogger gagal melakukannya. Namun, setelah ia mencoba withdraw, ia masih juga mengalami kegagalan sehingga terkena potongan biaya.

Oke… saya akan melanjutkan cerita saya. Sekitar 2 minggu sebelum mencoba melakukan withdrawal, saya mencoba mengirim email ke Customer Service Bank Mandiri melalui situsnya. Saat itu saya juga memberikan kritikan tajam pada Bank Mandiri mengenai hal-hal yang sering dialami oleh para sahabat blogger lain yang terjun dalam dunia bisnis internet. Namun kritikan saya tersebut sepertinya tidak ada pengaruh apa-apa. Saya menerima email balasan. Tapi ya itu… nomor kode sandi bank yang terdiri dari 7 digit tidak juga diberikan. Pihak bank cuma memberikan kode Swift yang jelas bukan merupakan kode yang dimaksudkan oleh PayPal. Dalam email itu dijelaskan bahwa Bank Mandiri tidak memiliki kode sandi bank apapun. Yang ada hanya kode Swift yang berlaku untuk semua cabang Bank Mandiri. Email ini membuat saya bertambah bingung sekaligus jengkel.

Akhirnya saya memberanikan diri untuk melakukan uji coba dengan menarik dana saya dari PayPal ke rekening Mandiri. Karena baru uji coba, saya hanya mentransfer sedikit saja, yaitu sebesar $48. Tentu saja saya tidak menggunakan kode Swift yang diberikan oleh Bank Mandiri karena kode itu jelas-jelas bukan yang diminta oleh PayPal. Saya mulai login ke account PayPal dan memilih tab Withdraw dengan pilihan ke bank lokal. Saya isikan data saya dan pada kotak isian kode sandi bank saya masukkan kode Bank Mandiri, yaitu 008. Sedangkan sisa 4 digit-nya saya ambil 3 digit pertama dalam buku tabungan dengan ditambahkan 0 di depannya sehingga lengkap menjadi 7 digit. Lalu saya klik Add Bank dan sebentar kemudian ada pemberitahuan bahwa proses Add Bank berhasil. Saya diminta menunggu proses transfer tersebut yang akan memakan waktu 5-7 hari kerja. Pemberitahuan ini belum membuat saya senang karena masih juga ragu apa bisa berhasil atau tidak. Akhirnya, saat yang dinanti pun tiba. Waduh… tidak nyangka banget! Proses withdraw dari PayPal ke rekening Bank Mandiri ternyata berhasil dan hanya memakan waktu 6 hari.

Mudah-mudahan saja cerita pengalaman ini bisa menjadi masukan bagi rekan-rekan blogger lain yang selama ini bingung karena tidak bisa withdraw ke Bank Mandiri atau bagi mereka yang pernah mencoba tetapi gagal.

Setelah saya tunggu seminggu kemudian, ternyata… alhamdulillah… proses withdraw itu sukses. Untuk memastikannya lagi, saya coba withdraw dalam jumlah yang lebih besar, yaitu $500. Dan kembali… proses withdraw itu sukses tanpa hambatan apapun. Karena masih terasa seperti mimpi atas keberhasilan withdraw tersebut, satu minggu kemudian saya coba lagi withdraw sejumlah $320 dan juga berhasil.

Kesimpulan yang bisa ditarik di sini adalah sebenarnya proses withdraw dari PayPal ke bank lokal itu mudah dilakukan. PayPal tidak menyusahkan kita.
